We craft all our stunning pieces from sterling silver, a durable alloy of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, usually copper. It's important to know that sterling silver naturally tarnishes, especially when exposed to certain chemicals, particularly sulphur. To keep your Amaziarts rings and jewellery looking their best, we recommend removing them before washing hands, showering, or engaging in manual tasks where they might come into contact with soils or harsh substances. The simplest and most effective way to restore their brilliant shine is with a quality silver polish and a microfibre or impregnated polishing cloth. Every Amaziarts silver product comes with an impregnated cloth – just a firm rub will bring back its original sparkle.

What makes sterling silver jewellery look dull or damaged?
Sterling silver reacts to its environment, so exposure to skin oils, cosmetics, perfumes, sweat, and even certain foods can cause it to look dull. This isn't a sign of fake silver; it’s simply real silver interacting with its surroundings. Products like hairspray, makeup, household cleaners (especially those containing bleach), and chlorinated water can significantly accelerate this reaction and lead to damage or tarnishing.

Can I return a tarnished piece of jewellery? no tarnish is a natural reaction to chemical of and oxygen. Tarnished jewellery is consumer caused, likly a reaction from cosmetics or food items.
All products are mirror finished unless ordered differently. We also offer a brushed Finnish and a scratch Finnish.
Some jewellery pieces are purposefully tarnished to give the appearance of ageing or to provide highlights.

What's the best way to store amaziarts jewellery when not wearing it?

It's also a good practice to apply makeup, hairspray, and perfumes first, then wait 10-20 minutes before putting on your silver jewellery. Regular, gentle cleaning with a polishing cloth or mild soap after wearing will also help, as skin oils can actually contribute to polishing the silver when worn frequently.

My product scratched can I return it? sterling silver is a soft metal, and will scratch easily, all products are burnished prior to final polish, however this does not make the alloy, scratch resistant, scratches occur if due care is not taken.
